I know, it has been a long while since my last real article…
Well, I have a normal life here, working and living like anybody else!!
I made a new category in my blog and now you can see all my Jumping pictures that I took the last years around the word.
Well, at the end of summer, meaning the 31rst of August, this is not summer anymore and everybody talks about winter. Well, there was still no need of warm jackets and hanging around outside in shorts and T-shirts was still fine for 2 weeks!
The first week end of september, I have been a witness of a really nice experience. As I was having home a couch surfers polish couple, we went to have a look at Rauma beach to a mud race!
Crazy Finnish people, they are obviously used to do that. Too bad I was too late to register to run it, It could have been really fun!
They made the road new to Olkiluoto Island… with big machines that it was a little scary to drive next to…
Then, the temperatures went down, and we started being cold, having to scratch the car windows in the morning… also getting dark…
Getting ready for winter also means for the car: New oil, new brake flexibles, new coolant, winter studded tyres…
Feeling like cooking a lot more…
Also my bike, I realized with rain and cold, that my back brake didnt really brake. So I had to change the back one and install a front one because ther wasn’t any. It took me a few hours because the bike is really old and changing the cable was pretty hard… but I eventually made it in a few hours. (the new brake cost me more than what I bought the bike!!)
I also experimented during september and october a lot of different kind of Finnish flu… I was completely out of order a few times… so I did not do too much!
And I started feeling a lot better after a long week end in… Sardinia!! End of October, still really warm there, that helped me to get back on my feet!
After this break (thank you ryanair!) I went back to Finland…and it was Halloween time! A friend organized a “Pumpking carving party”, where every body brought his own pumpking… it was a first for me, but it was not bad for a first!
I went to Uppsala for one week end, and now it’s time for me to tell you something: better if you see it yourself!
And now, still no snow in Finland, the shortest day is now behind us! It was really hard, with day light starting around 9:30 and ending around 15:00… and without snow, everything is really really dark!
But now, just started 3 weeks holiday! Starting in France…
See you!!
