When you feel like going camping for one night in the mountains, it’s not that complicated… 2 backpacks, 1 tent, sleeping bags, bags of trekking food, a bottle of wine, hiking shoes, a clear sky, and of course, mountains!!!
So we (Alex and I) went to the Sambuy ski field, took the last chairlift to reach the top of the ski field, then walked up the rest.
We arrived at about 18:00 at the Petite Sambuy, it was a really nice spot to set up the tent, eventhough trying to find a flat area wasn’t that easy! but the view was amazing. Just above the Annecy Lake, and in front of the Mont Blanc. What else do you need?? Ah yea, wine! well, that was in the bag! And we were alone!!
We drank some of the wine, then it got too cold so not that good to drink. We had a great dinner in aluminium bags with the trekking food.
Then we rushed into the tent and into the sleeping bags because the temperature dropped a lot aboce 2000m!
In the morning, I woke up around 6:00 to watch the sunset… well, after I saw that there was fog, I decided to sleep more and stay in the tent under my warm sleeping bag… few times I had a look through the zips of the tent, and it was still the same until 10:00 am. Then we decided to go down anyway, as the sun didn’t want to show up. We walk all the way down to the car and on our way we met a marmot and a chamoix (mountain goat).
This was a nice relaxing time in the mountains!
